This post is to honor our very own Jonathan Rees—a lover of meats and fine foods (oozing with sarcasm, in case you didn’t figure that out). A couple of nights ago several of us went to Staten Island via the ferry. We walked and walked and walked (who doesn’t around here?) and finally found a place we thought we could all eat at—a steak house/ restaurant called Ruddy and Dean. While there, I noticed a rather large case full of meat and I immediately thought of Jonathan. He has instilled in all of us the idea that food can be a lesson, too. So, here’s to you, Dr. Rees, and may you enjoy that 10 oz. sirloin!!!! The actual picture from Ruddy and Dean’s seems to have disappeared somewhere, but I thought the picture from Chinatown would suffice.

I ate at “Curry in a Hurry” tonight, and had a very lovely meal of cauliflower, potatoes and spinach. What do I need with steak?
PS Mmmm, CIA asparagus soup. [JR makes Homer sound.]
So where’s my picture?
